Amalgam is an asymmetrical map that was designed for MLG Oddball and MLG Territories.

This map has been a work in progress for extended period of time now. Extensive testing has been done on it to guarantee superior gameplay as well as to ensure the absence of screen lag.

You will find the spawn system has been finely tuned to promote "safe" spawns and that every section of the map is balanced and coherent with each other. Game play flows very smoothly. There are several jump ups located on the map, many of which have been pointed out from the call out photos above.

Changes made:
-Opened up top of ramps at Gold Base
-Added small railings to S3
-Fixed minor z-fighting top middle
-Reduced object density at Blue Room
-Removed aesthetic tower from Blue Room
-Removed shotgun from Oddball game type

Version 3.1 is now Available (http://www.bungie.net/Stats/Reach/FileDetails.aspx?fid=12238562&player=SecretSchnitzel)

Changes to 3.1:
Pyramid structures removed to improve frame rate in split screen
Elbow tower replaced with Brace Larges to improve frame rate in split screen
Flooring replaced by Colleseum walls to improve frame rate in split screen
Ball/Sniper spawn walling replaces by colleseum walls to improve frame rate in split screen
Snipe lift made more powerful so dead bodies don't get stuck
Sniper now drop spawns leaning against a wall vice flat on the floor
Blue Room restructured/cleaned up
Strut at ball/sniper spawn replaced to improve frame rate in split screen
Teleporter Frames removed from bottom green and replaced with 1x1 Tall block to reduce object density
Bottom Green walling replaced with brace larges... Now known as Bottom Blue or Below Blue (the only green is in shotty hall)
Gold room rewalled to allow more space atop the ramps

Originally I had changed Blue to be more open, however there was a large outcry from the player base against it as it turned blue into a "death trap".
